Jacklin, Ellis (8 April 1888 - 28 Dec. 1963)

 

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon in Marshfield for Ellis Jacklin of Spencer, who died Saturday. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were: Keith, Kirk and James Asplin, Charles Loberg, Leonard Bielinski and Louis Dering.

 

Out of town people attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Loberg and family, of Appleton; Mr. and Mrs. Rue Burnett of Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. Keith Asplin of Janesville; Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Asplin of Shawano; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Seif, John Seif, Mrs. Dale Armitage, Mr. and Mrs. Forest Thompson and Mrs. Gerelda Larsen of Neillsville; Mrs. George Scherer and Mrs. Craig Asplin of Greenwood; Mrs. Hulda Zeng of Stevens Point; Walter Zeng of Chicago.

Biography: Jacklin Ellis (8 April 1888 - 28 Dec. 1963)

 

 

Ellis and his twin, Eunos, were born 8 April, 1888 in Weston Twp., Clark Co., Wisconsin.  Eunos died that fall at five months of age and was buried in the West Weston Cemetery, Clark Co., Wisconsin.  His stone reads, "Our Angel".

 

22-Dec-1915, Ellis, the son of John and Mary Jacklin of Weston Twp., Clark Co. Wisconsin, married Nina Capitola Kinnister who was born 25 May 1891 in Pittsville, WI.

Their son, Jacklin, James was born 11-Jan-1931 and was buried in the Neillsville City Cemetery 14-Jan-1931 where his parents were also later buried.  The Jacklins had three little girls and the baby was their only boy.  They operated a farm near Globe in Seif Twp., lived at Owen and in Neillsville before moving to Marshfield.
