Richmond, Guy Edwin (6 May 1904 - 1 January 1964)

 

Guy Edwin Richmond, 59, of Rural Greenwood, died New Year’s Day at 5 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, where he had been a patient since December 4.  Mr. Richmond, son of Fayette and Harriett (Higby) Richmond, was born May 6, 1904, in the Town of Eaton.  He received his education in Greenwood.

 

On March 14, 1928, he was married to Laura Miller in Greenwood.  They farmed in the Town of Mead until five years ago, when they moved onto their present farm in the Town of Warner, where they had resided since.   He was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ.

 

Surviving are; his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Norman (Betty) Horn of Wausau, Mrs. Herbert (Lila) Horn and Mrs. Paul (Rose Caryl) Humke of Greenwood; a son, Jerald, of Greenwood; four grandchildren; three brothers, William Richmond of Neillsville, Harry Richmond of Chippewa Falls, and Jesse Richmond of Cabool, Mo.; three sisters, Mrs. Eunice Froelich of Beaver Dam, Mrs. Florence Schwarze and Mrs. Viv (Mary) Carteron of Greenwood.  Funeral services were held last Saturday afternoon from Immanuel United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Orval Egbert officiating.  Burial was made in the West Side Cemetery.
