Gustave Kaddatz of Chili transacted business her Wednesday.
Roy Hart went to Humbird Wednesday to visit relatives.
Mrs. Ed Jacobson and baby Genevieve went to Baldwin Wednesday to visit relatives.
Miss Lydia Breseman, after a several weeks visit at home, returned to Altoona Wednesday.
Helen Free visited Helen Baer yesterday.
The Misses Mariona dn May Free are visiting at Chas. Brooks’.
Otto Henze lost a cow through lightning Tuesday afternoon.
Ray Campbell and family moved to the arm of his brother Earl last week.
Perry Thayer has been quite sick all week, though on deck most of the time, through good grit.
T.F. Lee and son Ernest shipped a registered short horn bull to Geo. Smart at Taylor on Thursday.
Mrs. Gardner and daughter Fern, after a week’s visit at Guy Winn’s, went home to McCord yesterday.
The depot is undergoing a coat of red paint at the hands of artist in the railroad employ.
Mrs. Otis Beardsley and baby Sylvia expect to leave for their home at Norway, Mich. on Monday.
Mrs. W.J. Davis and daughter Sarah Mae spent yesterday at Neillsville having dental work done.
Mrs. Julius Neverman of Neillsville spent yesterday with Mrs. King and Mrs. Otis Beardsley.
Mrs. Mert Perkins and daughter Midge are visiting at the John Kintzele home since yesterday.
Little Marion Hantke is visiting at her uncle Otto Hantke’s at present.
Mrs. August Schmoll entertained the Ladies Aid of Rev. Reiff’s parish Wednesday afternoon.
Mrs. Baer spent Wednesday engaged with business at the county seat.
Harold Rose and his mother, Mrs. W.D. Rose joined W.D. at Marshfield and spent the day with him at their new farm on Thursday.
Geo. Frei has been very unfortunate with hogs this year, suffering the loss of hundreds of dollars through brood sows dying at delivery.
Vernie Wright came down from Duluth Wednesday for a visit with relatives and friends.
The case against Al Gergen and Alvin Cole for assault and battery upon John Gluch was tried before Justice Campman at Neillsville Tuesday and the two were bound over to the fall term in Circuit Court.
Archie Hughes is home from Glendive, Mont. since Monday. He will leave in the near future for Canada to join his brothers John and Mile.
John Goebel and Oscar Breseman went to Eau Claire last Wednesday and purchased a 20-horse power engine for their threshing machine.
The heavy wind Tuesday afternoon did considerable damage hereabouts. Mrs. Canfield’s silo was moved six feet off its foundation.
Six of Mrs. Rella Osgood’s lady friends, all of whom were schoolmates of here a few years since, gave her a delightful surprise party Wednesday.
Miss Elsie Grassman, who went to Dakota some months since, has apparently decided to take up permanent residence there. She quit her brother’s employ and is now assisting the station agent there as his better half since some time last week.
Postmaster J.M. Tompkins received a telegram late last week announcing the death of his cousin Ralph Lindsey of Davenport, Iowa, at an Evanston hospital as the result of an attack of acute appendicitis. Of this Lindsey family there are now surviving only Edward and his son Geroge, uncle and cousin of Mr. Tompkins.
