Miss Ella Nickel is home from Stevens point since Tuesday.
Miss Hazel Cramer spent Wednesday with Minnie Kauth.
Mrs. Thomas is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Robert Strey, and getting acquainted with the little granddaughters who made their appearance last Friday. The mother and babies with Grandma Thomas’ care are very smart.
Chas. Wallace lost a horse Saturday night.
Blueberry picking is engaging the attention of many who are not haying.
J.W. Van Fleet, who was operated upon at Marshfield for cancer on the tongue, is recovering nicely and came home Wednesday, though he is to make frequent return trips there for further treatments before he is permanently discharged.
Mrs. Mary McPherson and son were Sunday guests at Chas. Christman’s.
Carl Stange visited Shortville relatives on Sunday.
J.A. Short has invested in a brand new mower.
Robert Machel and bride, she who was until July 8th, Miss Pearl Wallace of Stevens Point, are housekeeping here at their farm home since last week.
