A car of fresh salt has arrived in new barrels.
Mrs. Claus G. Maack returned to High Falls Monday where he is employed in the water power works.
Haying between showers is a slow job and takes very much patience. Just the same hay will come in gradually. On an average haying is a little later than usual and some farmers will have to stop long enough to harvest rye and some barley.
Mr. and Mrs. John Hefty had their baby baptized last week. Rev. Smith from Neillsville officiated. Mrs. Hefty’s parents were present.
Miss Vivian Degener went to her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Otto F. Walter in the town of Grant to stay for a while, and help during haying and harvesting.
There will be a ball game between Nasonville and Chili Sunday afternoon on Herman Roehl’s meadow. Chili has picked up a very good nine and will give the visitors something to do and intend bag the game in short order. The country has been searched for the best players, besides what the village itself had to offer. The game will commence about 2 o’clock in the afternoon. Don’t fail to attend, it will be worthwhile coming a long ways to see the game.
Mrs. Anton Hogenson transacted business at Neillsville last Friday.
Herman Koser was a Granton caller on Wednesday.
