Heathville (14 July 1911)

Mrs. August Dankemyer is home.  She was taken to the Marshfield hospital about 2 weeks ago on account of rheumatism.  She is very much improved and old August now wears the same old smile.

Mr. and Mrs. Zorn have returned from Minneapolis where they have been visiting the latter’s brother for some time.

There will be a dance in Knoll’s granary tomorrow, Saturday evening, given by the Heathville baseball boys.  Everybody is cordially invited.

Miss Alma Happe who was reported at one time very low with typhoid fever is doing nicely in the Marshfield hospital and is expected home in a few weeks.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Madler formerly of Marshfield will move into the old John Duffy home sometime this week.

Fred Carpenter looks blue in the face and we have the genuine blueberry taste in our mouth and that all from the exciting blueberry trip.  Another one like that, Fred, and you’ll sing with the angels.

Andrew Heath has been laid up with a lame back for some time.

Otto Schmidtke would like to be somebody’s son-in-law.  Charley Schuster says he don’t care.

Gordon Davis has sent in an application to the Pinkerton’s, Chicago’s greatest detective agencies.  If Gordon can smell a thief a mile off he is it.

Andrew Heath will not milk any more cows after October 1.  Wonder who will milk them after that.

Good morning, East Lynn.
