Seefeldt, Eldore (01 SEPT 1922-15 DEC 2011)
Eldore "Jack" Seefeldt, 89, Unity, died on December 16, 2011, at home, with his family by his side. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., on Monday, Dec. 19, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer. Rev. David DePaoli officiated.
Eldone Seefeldt was born on Sept. 1, 1922, in Clark County, the son of Edwin and Gladys (nee Anderson) Seefeldt. He proudly served his country during World War ll from 1941-1945. On July 6, 1945, he married Adeline Greening. The couple spent their entire working life farming. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer. He enjoyed time spent with friends, family, and especially his grandchildren. He took pride in gardening and growing trees. He loved to listen to the Lutheran Hour and he also liked playing Yahtzee.
He is lovingly survived by his children, Donald Seefeldt, Joyce Alsteen, Diane (Rendean) Seefeldt, Rhonda (Joe) Weix, Trudy Carey, and Mark (Vicky) Seefeldt; as well as14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He will truly be missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Adeline; his parents, Edwin and Gladys; a son-in-law, Tim Alsteen; two brothers, Maynard Seefeldt and Philmore "Sam" Seefeldt; and a sister, Dorothy Struck.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Jack’s name are encouraged to do so to "The Lutheran Hour."
