Schultz, Paul R. (2 July 1887 - 30 January 1964)
Funeral services were held February 1 from St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Dorchester for Paul R. Schultz, 76, Dorchester-Curtiss area farmer for more than a half century who died January 30, in a Marshfield hospital. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler was in charge, and burial was made in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Schultz was born July 2, 1887, in the Town of Little Black, Taylor County. He was married at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church to the late Erna Wilde on December 10, 1913. She died November 10, 1945.
Mr. Schultz served for nine years as a member of the board of the old Brady School, and was a member of St. Peter’s Church.
Surviving are 10 children: Clarence and Archie Schultz, and Mrs. Anna Tonn, all of Curtiss; Mrs. Herbert (Leona) Kuegler of Dorchester; Mrs. Harvey (Vernia) Rosenquist of Waukegan, Ill.; Mrs. Amanda Virch of Peshtigo; Mrs. Hattie Elftmann, Martha Schultz, Gertrude Schultz and Bertha Schultz, all of Milwaukee. Also surviving is a brother, Frank Schultz of Brookings, S. D., 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: Arthur, John and Clyde Meschefske all of Stetsonville; Harold Tonn of Escanaba, Mich.; and Clifford and Clarence Virch, both of Milwaukee.
