Bonk, Alois (28 AUG 1892 - 24 AUG 1961)
Alois, Bonk, a former resident of the Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) community for many years, passed away Aug. 24, 1961, in Chicago. Final rites were held Aug. 28 at 8:45 a.m. from Szykowny Funeral Home, 4907 Archer Ave., to St. Mary of the Sea Church. Interment was at Resurrection Cemetery.
Born in Poland Aug. 28, 1892, he eventually settling in Wisconsin, farming for 37 years in the Town of Hixon. He moved to Chicago after his wife, the late Anastasia, nee Mikrut, passed away Dec. 3, 1957.
Others mourning his passing are two sons, Walter and Harry Bonk, and three daughters, Mrs. Edward (Adeline) Gomolinski, Lorraine Litwin and Mrs. Frank (Sylvia) Wojciehowski and 11 grandchildren.
