The Loyal Fire Department was called out February 12, to the Loyal High School to extinguish a fire in a tar machine.
Mrs. Warner Berry of Loyal has been a hospital patient in Marshfield.
Guests recently at the Ann Catlin home in Loyal were Mr. and Mrs. Vern Catlin and three children of Rhinelander, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Catlin and three daughters, and Mr. and Mrs. Pete Catlin and two sons of Eau Claire.
Mrs. Tony Lindner of rural Loyal entered a Marshfield hospital last week for treatment of a long illness.
Tony Zupanc of Loyal underwent major surgery last week in a Rochester, Minn., hospital. Mrs. Zupanc is staying with her husband and at latest reports he is expected to be confined there for several weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. Ronald B. Froeba, who were married February 8, are residing on Rt. 2, Loyal.
Walter Drake has returned to his home in the Beaver area from Madison, where he was a hospital patient. Guests at the Drake home since his return have been Mr. and Mrs. Milton Bombard of Spencer, Mr. and Mrs. John Olson, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Sanger, Mr. and Mrs. Helmuth Schultz and son, and Patricia Zygarlicke, all of Marshfield.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Karnopp and children of Menasha were supper guests one evening last week at the Frank Pachal home near Loyal.
Mrs. Gerhardt Scheel and Mrs. Alfred Schultz of rural Loyal visited one day last week with Mrs. Elroy Augustine in Colby.
Mr. and Mrs. Pete Nelson of the "26 Road" were in Kenosha one day last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Warren of Iowa spent several days recently at the Robert Brett home on the "26 Road". Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brett and the guests helped Bob (missing words).
