After taking a short vacation thru the busy season we are again ready if the people are will, and if the Editor has no objections to once more take up the old burdens.
The Emil Lindow family spent Sunday with Mr. Lindow’s brother Gust of Fremont.
James Quicker and Philip Steinbach attended the ballgame at Chili Sunday.
Louis Sternitzky is having a well drilled on his farm.
Mr. and Mrs. A.P. Stone are enjoying a visit from relatives of Eau Claire.
Jake Henning, who has the reputation of being the biggest liar in the northwest, went to the limit Monday evening when he tried to make some people, the writer included, believe that by sewing oats in the month of August and by cutting it every week or 10 days, not allowing it to head, it would by the following spring turn into rye. Jake you are indeed a wonder.
The writer had occasion to attend a ballgame a few weeks ago that in our opinion was a tame affair. There are men in East Lynn, all married, case hardened, full of ambition, full-fledged citizens, with good moral character, who stand ready at a few days’ notice to knock the socks off the so-called crack ballplayers. If anyone thinks this is idle talk, call on us and be convinced.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Eide autoed over to Loyal Sunday and attended the church picnic.
