Word has been received in Stanley announcing the marriage of the Rev. Cecil Ward, pastor of the Methodist Church there, and who has also served the parish at Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), and Miss Joan Warrens, in a quiet private ceremony at Westminster Church, London, England.
The marriage took place Aug. 24, 1961.
Rev. Ward returned to Stanley by plane Friday, Sept. 8. Mrs. Ward will leave England for the U.S. on the queen Elizabeth Sept. 28.
