Davis, Gordon (16 July 1878 - 21 February 1964)
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton for Gordon Davis, 85, of Pittsville, who died Friday in Neillsville. The Rev. Paul Doering of the Methodist Chrurch in Loyal officiated. Burial was made in the Yolo Cemetery, Chili.
Mr. Davis was born July 16, 1878, in the Town of York and attended schools in the Town of Fremont. He was married May 20, 1901, to Viola Brown in Neillsville. They farmed in the Town of Fremont and in 1944 moved to Chili. They later moved to Pittsville.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Arleigh of Verona; four daughters, Mrs. Otto (Flossie) Schmidtke of Granton, Mrs. Charles (Doris) Schwanebeck of Pittsville, Mrs. Richard (Ione) Miller of Rockford, Ill., and Mrs. Norman (Donna) Freedlund.
