Markee, Lillian Noreen (Marriage - 22 February 1964)
Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Greenwood was the setting Saturday, February 22, of the marriage of Lillian Noreen Markee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Markee of Greenwood, and Ronald G. Hendrickson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Art Hendrickson also of Greenwood.
The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Arvid Myhrwold before an altar adorned with baskets of white gladioli on either side.
As the bride entered the church with her father, she wore a white floor-length gown of lace and nylon net, with full, bouffant skirt. The Basque bodice was highlighted with a sequin and pearl-studded scalloped neckline and long, tapered sleeves. Her fingertip veil of silk illusion was attached to a crown of sequins and pearls. She carried a shower bouquet of stephanotis and red tea roses.
Her two attendants, Mrs. Doris Hardrath of Riplinger, as matron-of-honor, and Miss Wilma Behringer of Owen, as bridesmaid, wore matching blue taffeta dresses and carried colonial bouquets.
Mark DeLong of Owen was best man. Eric Bahr of River Falls was groomsman. Ushers were Lyle Hardrath of Riplinger and Paul Dixon of Greenwood.
Nuptial songs were sung by Mrs. Adeline Myhrwold, accompanied by Mrs. Lillian Warner.
A reception for 160 guests was held in the church parlors.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Hendrickson are graduates of Greenwood High School. She has been employed in Marshfield and he is a student at Wisconsin State College in River Falls, where they are now residing at 409 Clark Street.
Wedding guests were from Pittsville, Tomah, Unity, Owen, Junction City, River Falls, Loyal; and Safford, Va.
