Durward Schwarze of Granton, Mrs. Harvey Schwarze of Owen, and Mrs. Otto Schwarze returned Friday after spending a week in Pueblo, Colo., where they attended the funeral of their aunt and sister-in-law, Mrs. Sidney Green, who died there February 14.
Lloyd Horn cut his left arm with a power saw and had six stitches taken to close the wound.
The Youth Fellowship met Sunday evening at the Immanuel United Chruch. Barbara Hendrickson presided. Following meditations and the business meeting, games were played, directed by Ronald Meinhardt and Emmet Wessel. Refreshments were served by Pamela Steiger and Linda Meinholdt.
The next meeting will be held March 22 in the Zion United Church. Roger Schwarze will be in charge of the devotions. Barbara and Larry Hendrickson will be the hosts, and Corinne Liebzeit and Lois Meinhardt will lead games.
The Forest Queen Royal Neighbor camp will meet Monday evening in the Legion Hall. Hostesses will be Mrs. Christ Keiner, Mrs. Hugh Severson and Miss Louise Keiner.
The Confraternity of Christian Service group, No. 3, will meet at the Ronald Kitzhaber home Sunday evening.
Dr. William Olson and Truman Hill spent Saturday in Mellen.
Frank Petkovsek was scheduled to undergo surgery Monday at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minn.
Eric Buhr, Dave Leadholm, Erick Leadholm, Dave Woodoff, Robert Burger, Reynold Johnson, Geoff Rudell and Roger Dillenbeck, all students at the River Falls State College, spent the weekend at the Harold Dillenbeck and Arthur Hendrickson homes. They came Saturday to attend the wedding of their classmate, Ronald Hendrickson, to Lillian Markee.
Friends helped Mrs. Alma Busch celebrate her birthday at a party Saturday afternoon at her home. A lunch was served.
William Kuchenbecher accompanied by his mother, Mrs. William Peltier, and son, Emil, of Westboro, spent Monday in Madison.
A reunion of classmates was held Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Horn. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Horn and family of Greenwood, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Nirva and family of Withee, and Mrs. Donald Slaherty and family of Alabama, presently residing at Willard at the home of her mother, Mrs. Eva Smrecek. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Clement Mech and family of Abbotsford.
Jerome Horn has returned to Elgin, Ill., after spending the weekend at the Marshfield hospital with his father, Henry Horn, and here with his mother and other relatives.
Sunday dinner guests at the Emil Noah home were their children, Mr. and Mrs. Verlan Noah and family of Thorp, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stark and children of Neillsville. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Ted Braun, Mrs. Clara Liebzeit and Mrs. Blanche Braun and Sherri.
