Woik, Ernest #3 (19 APR 1885 - 16 SEP 1961)
Ernest Woik, 76, of route 1, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), died of a heart ailment at the Havenet Nursing Home at 6:40 p.m. Saturday.
Funeral services were held at the First Evangelical and Reformed Church, Colby, at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Victor Grosshuesch officiated, with burial being made in the Green Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Woik was born in the town of Green Grove April 19, 1885. He was married to the former Iva Winter Dec. 24, 1921, in Springfield, Ill. Mr. Woik farmed in the town of Green Grove until 1948 when he retired but continued to reside in the township. He had served as town assessor, president of the Central Livestock Shipping Association and a member of the board of directors of the Marathon-Clark Cooperative.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ralph, route 1, Owen, and Robert, Rubicon; two daughters, Mrs. Arian (Violet) Ebeling, Wausau, and Mrs. Ray (Olga) Liepke, Owen; three brothers, Anton and Paul, both of route 1, Owen, and Alvin, Owen; two sisters, Mrs. John McLaughlin, Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Frank Fedsley, Owen; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
