Juntunen, Frank P. (1 MAY 1906 - 30 SEP 1961)
Residents of the community shared the surprise and grief suffered by relatives and friends of Frank peter Juntunen, Town of Green Grove farmer, when they learned of his death, when he was stricken early Saturday morning with a heart attack. Death came a few hours later at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where he was rushed to from his home.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 o’clock Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 3, from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home. Rev. Karl Wilkman was in charge of the services with burial being made at Riverside Cemetery.
Pallbearers included Arvid Lindgren, Matt Novak, Hilmar, Gustafson, Fred Thess, Eino Walkoma, and John Pukkila.
Frank, 55, was born May 1, 1906, at Sparta, Wis. He came to Clark County with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Juntunen, first settling on a farm in the Town of Hoard (Clark Co., Wis.). After his marriage to Margaret Konik on Jan. 18, 1934, the couple bought a farm southeast of Owen in the Town of Green Grove, where he had since resided.
His untimely death was a shock to his mourners, who include his wife, Margaret, two brothers, Everett of Neillsville, and John of Owen, one sister, Mrs. Earl (Elsie) Hanson, Neillsville, and a host of lifelong friends.
