Johnson, Otto W. #2 (16 MAY 1887 - 2 OCT 1961)

 

At 2:00 o’clock Friday afternoon, Oct. 6, funeral services for Otto William Johnson, will be held at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home.  Rev. H.A. Timmerman, Greenwood, will officiate with burial to be made at Riverside Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Norman Porath, Lester Kallberg, Charles Pribbernow, Carl Sillampa, George Eloranta and Arne Holopainen.

 

Mr. Johnson, 74, passed away early Monday morning at his farm home in the Town of Green Grove (Clark Co., Wis.), just south of Owen, after being ill for several weeks.  He was 74 years of age, being born May 16, 1887, in Sweden.

 

He came to the U.S. in 1914, first settling in Chicago, Ill., where he was united in marriage to Kristine Marie Johnson on the 29th of August, 1920.  The couple made their home in that city for two years when they moved to this community in 192?, settling on a farm south of the city where he resided for the past 40 years.

 

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Simons, Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Ellen Sohlberg, Lombard, Ill., three sons, Arthur of Withee, Walter of Franklin Park, Ill., and Robert of Owen, and one sister and a brother.
