Smith, Fred (Large Musky - 10 OCT 1961)
While fishing on Solberg Flowage northwest of Phillips Tuesday, Fred Smith, city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.), hooked into and landed a prize musky. Using a large sucker for bait Fred waited more than an hour and a half before the fish took the bait and made his run. When he finally bested him, he had a golden musky weighing 20 ½ pounds.
