Mrs. Mary Syth of Minneapolis visited last weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arleigh Syth.
Mr. and Mrs. Myron Kenyon spent from Wednesday until Monday in Green Bay with their daughter, Mrs. Harvey Humke, and her family.
Miss Carol Severson returned to Milwaukee Sunday after spending the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Severson.
Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Hubert of Milwaukee spent a few days here and with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert McConnell, who are residents in Memorial Home in Neillsville. The Robert McConnell residence has been purchased by Mr. and Mrs. George Grabara, Jr., who will take possession soon.
Mr. and Mrs. Del Bravener entertained relatives and friends at their home Sunday. The party honored their daughter, Carol, in observance of her 16th birthday. Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Teter, Dale Teter and Barbara Sternitzky of Granton and Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Teter. Other Monday evening party guests were the Rev. and Mrs. David Kellin and son, Mahlon, and Mrs. May Clendenning.
Mr. and Mrs. Ted Braun went to Minneapolis, where they were Wednesday and Thursday guests of their son, Allen, and his family.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Potocnik and family of Owen visited Sunday afternoon at the Clarence Meinhardt home.
The birthday of Mrs. Josie Hubble of Greenwood was observed Sunday at Memorial Home in Neillsville, where she now resides. Among those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Sigward Johnson, Mrs. Mary Danielson and Mrs. David Danielson of Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Johnson, Mrs. Louise Ellingson and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Verhulst of Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Johnson of Neillsville and other friends who called throughout the day to offer congratulations.
Thirty-four relatives and friends were entertained Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Godfrey Dyre in celebration of the birthday of Mrs. Dyre. Guests were their daughters, Miss Coleen Dyre of Chicago and Miss Joan Dyre of Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Emory Voie and daughters, Mary and Karla; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Grams and children, Roxanne, Tami and Todd, of Fond du Lac; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Steuber and family and Darlene Olson of Strum; Roger Bishop of Foster; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dunn of Eau Claire; Joe Lamonica, Joe Jininez and Miss Maryann Hadirk of Chicago, Ill.; and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Voie, parents of Mrs. Dyre.
Friends of Edward Brux helped him celebrate his 11th birthday at a party Sunday afternoon at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Brux. Those present were Tommy Thornton, Peter and Steven Bjerke, Joseph Rychnovsky, Michael Speich, Patrick McConnell, Robert Kohlnhofer and Steven Denk.
Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Christie and Mr. and Mrs. Viv Carteron attended the 50th wedding celebration of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Potts in Neillsville recently.
Mr. and Mrs. John D. Wuethrich and daughter, Diane, spent from Sunday until Tuesday in Kenosha, where they attended the annual winter meeting of the Holstein Breeders Association. Enroute home Tuesday they visited their great aunt, Mrs. Anna Eaton, who is a patient in the Mauston hospital.
