Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Hanson and family visited Friday evening at the Donald Larson home in Alma Center. Mr. Hanson and Mrs. Larson are brother and sister.
Mrs. E. L. Witte returned home Monday from Memorial Hospital, where she was a pneumonia patient for a week.
Mrs. Martha Sternitzky, in her 80’s, fell in her home Sunday, fracturing her arm. She was taken to Memorial Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Harlan have received work that their granddaughter, Jennifer, four-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas West of Chicago, has rheumatic fever and is a patient in a Chicago hospital. Mrs. West is the former Emily Harlan.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Spry and Robert Spry and daughter, Nancy, drove Friday to Kankakee, Ill., where they spent Friday and Saturday night with Lloyd’s sister, Mrs. William Jaenecki. Saturday, the Spry family attended the first international traveling trailer convention in Ft. Wayne, Ind.
A group of relatives gathered at the Edward Garbisch home Wednesday evening to celebrate the birthdays of Mrs. Edward Garbisch and Mrs. Arnold Garbisch. Among those attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Carl Harlan, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Garbisch and two daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Garbisch and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Garbisch. The evening was spent playing Bingo. The highlight of the evening was the singing of "Happy Birthday" over the phone by Crystal, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Orville Garbisch. Crystal is a granddaughter of Mrs. Edward Garbisch.
A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Roger Helm of Granton, February 20, in Memorial Hospital, at Neillsville. She has been named Debra Jean.
Robert Boness was taken by ambulance last Thursday to the Veteran’s Hospital in Madison for further care. Mr. Boness, who recently underwent amputation of a leg, suffered a severe stroke several days ago and had been cared for in Memorial Hospital.
