George Beeckler has been engaged to make butter at the Day Creamery, and begins work Sept. 1st.
Mr. Shirokey went to Chicago Tuesday.
Mrs. Temby left for her home in Dodgeville last Wednesday after spending the summer with her son, P.S. Temby.
Paul Blum and Mamie Roepke drove through Grant Thursday and called on several friends.
Mrs. Otto Haman and the Misses Mamie and Lillie Haman and Margaret Kataska returned from Chicago after a two week’s visit with W.C. Schultz and family.
Mr. and Mrs. A. Schaefer, who have been visiting at the home of L.H. Munson, went to Minnesota Friday for a short visit before returning to their home at Sayette, Ia.
Miss Effie Rowe of Neillsville visited Miss Gladys Neff from Thursday until Saturday.
Paul Guse returned to Madison Friday afternoon after a two week’s visit with his mother and brothers.
Mrs. Wesenberg is having her home improved.
Miss Ina Johnson went to Medford Saturday where she has a position teaching school.
Rudolph Wegner and Carl Schoeder of town Grant and H. Blum and family and guests visited at the home of Wm. Naedler Sunday.
Mr. Temby and daughter, Miss Leota, visited Wm. Bouska and family Sunday evening.
The Lincoln School opens Monday with Miss Rowe as teacher.
Henry Subke, wife and children of York and their guest, Miss Cora Bakke of Westby, visited the former’s parents, John Subke and wife, Sunday.
Mrs. Jule Schmidt and baby of Blue Island, Ill., came Monday for a visit with her mother, Mrs. C. Schroeder.
Mr. and Mrs. Schraedter autoed over from Alma Center Monday to visit the latter’s parents, J. Neubecker and wife.
Paul Blum, Clara Hennings and Mamie Roepke, who have been visiting at the home of the former’s parents, returned to Chicago Monday.
