Tobin, Michael Joseph (16 June 1891 - 21 March 1964)

 

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Georgas Funeral Home for Michael Joseph Tobin, 72, of Rt. 3, Neillsville, who died Saturday at his home.  The Rev. Bernard T. Kelly of St. Mary’s Catholic Church officiated. Burial was made in the parish cemetery.

 

Michael Tobin was born June 16, 1891, in Hungary.  He came to the United States at the age of 15, locating in St. Paul, Minn., where he worked for 30 years on construction work.

 

He was married April 12, 1958, to Clara Markwardt Wilson. Following their marriage they lived in the Neillsville area.

 

Mr. Tobin is survived by his second wife; and the following children and step-children: Mrs. Kemp (Hary) Hobbs of Reidsville, N. C.; Mrs. Andrey Hansen of St. Paul, Minn.; Mrs. Ferd (Cecelia) Langreck of Greenwood; Mrs. Floyd (Hilda) Richmond of Royalton, Minn.; Mrs. Neil (Agnes) Blankenship of Ramsey, Ill.; Frank Wilson of Sussex; Mrs. Donald (Katherine) Weiting of Menomonee Falls; Charles Wilson of Shelbyville, Ill.; and John Wilson of Leadville, Colo.  Forty-one grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, also survive.

 

Pallbearers were Bertie Schultz, Alvin and Robert Jacob, Henry and Harold Langreck and Richard Ashbeck.

 

Out of town people attending were Mr. and Mrs. Kemp Hobbs, of Reidsville, N. C.; Mrs. Floyd Richmond of Royalton, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wilson of Sussex; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wilson and family of Shelbyville, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Weiting and daughter of Menomonee Falls.  Those from Greenwood were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Langreck and family, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ashbeck, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Langreck, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Scherer.  Others attending were Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Scheffer and Carla of Humbird; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Mueller and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Markwardt of Livingston; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Langreck of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Trunkel, Richard Hansen, Mrs. Charles Wylie and Mrs. David Wylie of St. Paul, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Briehieser and Mrs. William Derry of South St. Paul; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Aumann of Loyal, and Mrs. Dora Kennedy of Montford.
