Rev. and Mrs. Arvid Myhrwold and family of Greenwood spent two days last week in Clear Lake with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson. April 4, Mrs. Myhrwold’s brother and sister-in-law left for Sumatra, where he plans to teach in the Mommenson University at Pematong.
Mr. and Mrs. Nyles Fisher and family of Des Plaines, Ill, have taken possession of the variety store in Greenwood which they recently purchased from Mrs. Alma May. Mrs. May operated the store for several years. She has moved to Janesville.
Pvt. Harry B. Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Johnson of rural Greenwood, recently completed an eight-week communications crewman course at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo.
A/2c William J. Petkovsek has arrived in the Philippines, where he is serving with a unit of the Pacific Air Forces. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Petkovsek of Rt. 2 Greenwood.
