Nysted, Jeanne (28 Sept 1957)

When Jeanne E. Nysted and her bridegroom of Saturday, Sept. 28, Dale H. Rickstad return from a trip to northern and southwestern Wisconsin they will make their home at 1502 Lyndale Ave., Eau Claire.

Grace Lutheran Church, Eau Claire, was the scene of the 7:30 p.m. ceremony at which the Rev. M. Gravdal officiated.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter E. Nysted of Loyal chose a white brocaded satin, floor length gown for her wedding. The smooth fitting bodice featured a scalloped neckline and the bouffant, five tiered skirt fell to a chapel train. Her finger-tip veil was attached to a small flower trimmed pill-box hat and she carried a bouquet of yellow mums, yellow poms and yellow roses.

Mary Ellen Noeldner of Wartburg College, Waverly, Iowa, niece of the bride, was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Mrs. Ralph Churchill, Jr. and Mrs. John Amundson Jr. both of Eau Claire. Paula Jo Auth, Loyal, niece of the bride, in a gown that was a miniature copy of the bride’s, was flower girl. The young women wore street length frocks of mint green brocade. For headdress they wore simple green, veil trimmed bands. Their flowers were an arrangement of dark brown cushion-type poms and yellow angel feathers.

Fredrick Johnson of Eau Claire was best man for the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Rickstad, Eau Claire. Groomsmen were Ralph Churchill Jr. and John Amundson. Seating the guests were Orville E. Nysted, Minneapolis, brother of the bride, and Kermit Eisenhuth, Chippewa Falls, brother-in-law of the groom. Timothy Nysted, Loyal, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer. The organist was Jerry Evenrude and the soloist, David Johnson sang "The Lord’s Prayer" and "Oh Perfect Love."

Mrs. Nysted wore a navy blue linen dress with lace jacket and navy blue accessories. The groom’s mother wore a beige knit dress with brown trim and brown accessories. Their corsages were yellow tea-roses.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Dale H. Rickstad are both employed by the Wisconsin Telephone Co. in Eau Claire.

Guests attending the wedding who are known in this area were Mr. and Mrs. Peter Nysted, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Nysted and family, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Noeldner and family, Mrs. Frank Pieper and daughter Mary, and Mrs. Art Lautenbach, all of Loyal.
