Davis, Ora Elizabeth (14 June 1890 - 22 April 1964)
Miss Ora Elizabeth Davis, 73, of Granton, died suddenly at her home Tuesday forenoon. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Granton Methodist Church. The Rev. Lloyd Mauer will officiate. Burial will be made in Windfall Cemetery.
Miss Davis was born June 14, 1890, in the Town of York, a few miles north of Granton, and had been a lifelong resident of the area. She attended Granton public schools and was a 1909 graduate of Neillsville High School. Upon her graduation she taught schools in Clark County from 1909 to 1942, when she retired.
She had been ill for several months. A sister, Mrs. Florence Fox of Marshfield, was with her at the time of death.
She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Ray (Myriah) Mortimer of Loyal, and Mrs. Fox; and by a brother, Smith Davis of Glen Ellyn, Ill.
Funeral arrangements are being made by the Gilbertson Funeral Home.
