Schlinkert, Robert E. (5 June 1885 - 24 April 1964)
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Globe, for Robert E. Schlinkert, 78, of Rt. 3 Neillsville, who died here Friday. The Rev. David Witte officiated and burial was made in the church cemetery.
Robert Schlinkert, son of the late William and Gusta (Florice) Schlinkert, was born June 5, 1885, in the Town of Weston. He attended rural schools of the county and spent most of his lifetime in the immediate Weston area.
In his earlier years he farmed, was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Parochial School board and served as janitor of the school for many years. Mr. and Mrs. Schlinkert retired from farming in 1945. He had been in failing health since 1957.
On June 8, 1909, he was married to Elsa Wegner in Globe. He was a member of the Immanuel Church in Globe.
He is survived by his wife; three children, Victor, who lives on the home farm in Globe; Mrs. Conrad (Helen) Kaiser of Worth, Ill.; and Mrs. Earl (Edna) Lichter of Westmont, Ill. Other survivors are six grandchildren and a brother, Theodore, of Neillsville.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Georgas Funeral home.
Pallbearers were: William Hoffman, Gerhardt Scheel, Frank Thoma, Ted Mitte, Martin Kalsow and Fritz Grap.
The congregation sang, "Jerusalem the Golden," and the church choir, "Forever with the Lord", accompanied by Mrs. Clarence Wagner.

Atkinson; Kurt Schoenherr of Columbus; Mr. and Mrs. Leland Northup and Mrs. John Seracuss and daughter of Rockford, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Timmler of Greenwood; Mrs. Arthur Zerbel of Humbird; Mrs. Bertha Guk and Edward Kalsow of Granton; Mrs. Viola Vaught of Watertown; and W. Kaiser of Marshfield.
