Mrs. Fred Scott of Tony has been spending several days with her cousin, Blanche Haskins, while Mrs. Haskins was recovering from an illness. Mrs. Scott returned home Tuesday.
Miss Elaine Wachholz of St. Paul was a weekend guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Wachholz. She accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Craig Blum of St. Paul, who spent the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Blum and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Gross.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Frei of Black River Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Gaylord Simonson and son, and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Tubbs of Eau Claire, visited Sunday with Mrs. Frei’s father, August Janke.
Mrs. Marvin Stelse and daughter, Marci, of Lake Mills spent the weekend at the Werner Jenni home with their daughter and sister, Miss Kathy Stelse. Saturday, Kathy and her mother and sister drove to St. Paul and spent the day with another daughter and sister, Jane. Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Jenni and their guests were dinner guests of Mrs. Amy Lewerenz.
Mrs. Donald Ayers and children of New Lisbon were weekend guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Forest Thompson. Sunday afternoon Mrs. Thompson and Mrs. Ayers and children visited at the David Bertz home in Withee and attended a supper in honor of Joey Bertz, who took his first communion Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Scholtz visited Sunday at the William Tullis home in Sherwood.
Mr. and Mrs. Lester May and son, Gerald and his girlfriend of Milwaukee, were weekend guests of his mother, Mrs. Otto May, and also visited with Mrs. May’s father, Herman Hagen, a resident of Memorial Home.
Mr. & Mrs. Frank Svetlik and Family and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Blumethal, visited Sunday with Mrs. Jerry Svetlik and son at the home of Mrs. Gertrude Vandenberk in Kimberly. They helped their grandson and great-grandson, John Anthony, celebrate his first birthday. His father, Jerry Svetlik, is with the Navy in Japanese waters.
Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Garald Hart were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hart of Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Vern Hart of Northfield, Minn.; and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hart of Faribault, Minn. Sunday guests at the Hart home were Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hart and family, and Mrs. and Mrs. Kenneth Burr and children.
Miss Carol Peterson of Eau Claire was a weekend guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Peterson.
Clarence Stelloh of Milwaukee arrived Tuesday to spend a few days with his mother, Mrs. Fred Stelloh.
Dr. Carroll N. Schield left Tuesday to attend the state dental meeting in Milwaukee. He returned Wednesday.
Mrs. Arthur Drescher is a patient in Memorial Hospital. She plans to return home next week.
Mr. and Mrs. Ross McCalvy of Brainerd, Minn., and their son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Pete Miller and two children of St. Paul, visited Sunday with Miss Josie Bass and Mrs. Lida Meyers.
Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Subke, Sr., were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Subke, Jr., and family of New Richmond, and Mr. and Mrs. John Subke and children of Levis.
Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Thoma and family of Wisconsin Rapids visited Sunday at the Eugene and Jerry Christie homes.
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Trimberger and children of Antigo spent the weekend with relatives in the Neillsville and Granton areas.
Mrs. H. A. Frank has received word of the serious illness of her mother, Mrs. Frank Deckert, formerly of Marshfield, who is now in a nursing home in San Jose, Cal.
Mrs. Thomas Beck and son, Gregory, of Milwaukee, recently spent a few days with her parents, Dr. and Mrs. H. A. Frank and family.
