York Center (21 July 1911)
O. w. Lawrence has been helping Will Campbell through haying.
Mrs. John VandeBerg and nephew Irvin went to Spencer Tuesday afternoon, returning Thursday night on a visit and blueberry picking. They came home with about 37 quarts all together.
Mrs. John Rowe and son of Plymouth were here for a short visit with friends and relatives in this vicinity.
Mrs. Wella Beecher left Friday for a short visit with parents and friends at Stevens Point.
Mrs. Charley Campbell was the guest of Mrs. Stella Mortimer Wednesday.
There was a party given at the home of John VandeBerg Wednesday evening. Although it is a very busy time of the season there were twenty eight present. The evening was spent in the usual way playing games. Peanuts and candy were served in place of supper.
Farmers are very busy these nice days haying and harvesting.
Rollie Benedict and best girl were seen on the Main streets of York Center Wednesday evening.
Miss Dyer the nurse who has been taking care of Will Lawrence returned home Saturday afternoon. He has so far recovered as to be able to sit up a little while at a time.
Will VandeBerg, Harmon Huntley and Gust Olson went blueberrying Sunday to Black River.
The rain last Tuesday was badly needed.
A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Abe Turner Thursday noon.
