Foemmel’s Corners (28 July 1911)

E. R. Wonser came Wednesday with his auto and took Mr. Moore and daughter Miss. Ella to Neillsville.

Miss Ruth Pietenpol was taken to the hospital at Marshfield Friday a.m. where she underwent an operation for appendicitis.  At present she is doing fine.

Mrs. Fradette is sewing for Mrs. Lapham.

Mrs. Lapham who is looking after Mrs. Pietenpol’s home during her absence at Marshfield spent Sunday with her brother Fred Tompkins and family at the J. M. Tompkins home.

Mrs. H. A. Nonhof, son Glenn, Mr. Moore and Miss Ella accompanied E.R. Wonser and daughter Mermal to Unity Thursday for a visit with Mrs. Oldenburg.

Loren Hales, who was at work for Truman Davis returned, home Saturday.

Lucile Davis left Friday for an indefinite stay at her cousin Mrs. Sam Martin near Chili.

Frant Osgood went over near Saddle Mound after Blueberries and had good success.

Victor Krejci worked on Mr. Trimberger’s new barn several days while Mr. Curtiss plastered the cheese factory.

Mrs. Herman Roehl and two children visited her parents Mr. and Mrs. Ackerman Wednesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Truman Davis and John Pietenpol visited Miss Ruth Pietenpol at the Marshfield hospital Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Herman and children autoed up from Sheboygan on a several days visit with the formers Uncle Fred Foemmel.

Mr. Moore and daughter returned to their home in Omaha, Nebraska, Monday.

Miss Carrie Krause of Milwaukee came Sunday for a visit with her brothers Joe and Henry.

Marjorie and Josephine Pietenpol are spending a few days at their uncle W. S. Davis’.

Miss Amelia Krause left Tuesday for a short stay with her sister Mrs. Freeman Dankemyer near Chili.

Mrs. Ackerman is able to be about again after a week’s illness.

Andrew Mason began work for John Pietenpol Tuesday.

Robert Garbush cut grain for F. Lavey and John Pietenpol this week.
