Chili (28 July 1911)

Lem Waterman surprised our village very much when he came home with his young wife from Winona.  Our best wishes.

Chas Elchlepp is renovating and changing the interior of his barroom.  August Prust is engineering the work.

L. A., Reichert was a Granton business caller Tuesday between trains.

Now is the time to get your plows for fall work. Degener carries a full line of walking, sulky and gang plows of the best values.

Erwin Brooks got himself a 14 inch Ever Best Moline gang plow.  He knows what is good.

Mrs. Degener, Vivian and Mrs. C. Maach returned Wednesday morning from their visit at home.

There is going to be a band picnic given by the Chili Star Band. The date will be most likely the 13th of August. The place will be given later on.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Brown and baby came over from Granton Wednesday afternoon and visited relatives and friends here between trains.  Mrs. Brown was formerly Miss Bessie Young. They were in Granton with their tent show the fore part of the week.
