East Lynn (11 August 1911)
Mrs. Charles Guk took the 8 o’clock train Sunday morning to see her sister Mrs. Fred Hines who is seriously ill in the hospital at Marshfield.
Louis, Louisa, and Bertha Grade attended the show in Chili last Saturday evening.
Louis Knoop and Charley Behling helped Henry Retzlaff haul in oats Saturday afternoon.
Mrs. Emil Lindow’s sister of Menasha who has been visiting relatives in these parts for the past few weeks, in company with a load of young folks from Star Corner called on the former Sunday morning.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Eide had an auto ride with R. Washburn Saturday evening. Harry who has always been of the opinion that nothing could go as fast as his famous pacer be it anchored on legs or wheels has somewhat changed his mind; for he said their average speed was 110 miles per hour.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Wiertz of Lynn spent Wednesday evening at Will Albrecht’s. A number from here attended the Bealer and Grobe wedding in Fremont Tuesday.
Miss Lydia Puscheck after helping her aunt Mrs. L. E. Moh with her household work for a few weeks returned home last Friday.
Louis Sternitzky and his intended drove through here Sunday afternoon.
