A baby boy was born to Mr. and Mrs. Wm VandeBerg, Tuesday morning.

The Misses Ethel and Fern Alton were the guests of D. Timerson’s home from Friday until Monday.

Nelson Timerson and daughter of Spokeville were callers in this vicinity Tuesday.

Miss Flora Young gave a party Friday evening. There was a large crowd out and all report a fine time.  Ice cream and cake were served.

The Ladies Aid met at the Woodmen Hall Tuesday afternoon from 2 till five o’clock.

Those from this vicinity who went black berrying since last writing are; Mr. and Mrs. D. Timerson, Ethel Alton, Horace, Orin, and Wm Lawrence, Gus Olson, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Davis, George Turner, A. P. Fulwiler, Forest and Vernon Rowe.

Miss Jean Davis has company from Green Bay and Milwaukee.

Naomi Lawrence gave a party at her home Friday afternoon for her cousins.  Those who were present were Irma and Isla Rowe, Violet Fulwiler, Lulu and Vera Benedict, Ina Lawrence, Irene Huntley, Agnes and Leta Lawrence, Verla Rowe and Ruth VandeBerg.  Each girl was presented with a picture taken of all the girls together.

Guy Smith and wife were callers in this vicinity Tuesday afternoon.

Merle and Rollie Benedict were Neillsville callers Tuesday.

Gus Olson left for North Dakota where he will work in the harvest fields.

Quite a few buildings in various places were struck by lightning during the storm Sunday night.

Forest Rowe is looking rather sad these days, but cheer up, Forest, she will soon be back.

One day last week while Charley Palmer was on his way to cut grain for Jay Davis the team ran away.  The binder was damaged and one horse was hurt.
