Will Foemmel is having a kitchen built on the east end of his house.

Mrs. Chas. Hayden, two daughters with their families, her son Louis and family, Truman Davis and his family gave Mrs. John Breese a pleasant surprise on her birthday last Sunday.

Little Frank Grey entertained a host of his little friends on Monday in honor of his sixth birthday.

Mr. and Mrs. Chas Cross began work for W. P. Budge this week.

Calvert Scoles and Mr. Owen from Madison are surveying the Town of York and are making their headquarters at John Pietenpol’s.

Ross Paulson came back from S. D. Tuesday with a bunch of 32 horses.

Mr. Lammers made a business trip to Marshfield Monday.

Mrs. Lammers and Mrs. Clark spent Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. Preston.

Several from here attended the Clark County Fair this week.

Some of the farmers have begun cutting corn. Silo filling will be next, especially if we have more frost like Monday night.

Victor and Tom Krejci are building a buggy shed, a part of which will be used for hens to scratch in, on the A. J. Lammers farm.

If you are looking or a good piece of cheese or want Mr. Lammers for any other purpose, just ring him up as he is on the telephone line.

Mrs. Ketel hauls milk to our factory now.

Reward - I will pay a reward to anyone who will give me the names of those who circulated falsehood against me, so that I can start proceedings against them. These people are breaking the 5th commandment and the Lord will punish those liars with all his might.  Mrs. Christine Ketel
