Brecker, Adolph #3 (31 JAN 1896 - 13 Jan 1962)

 

Adolph Anton Brecker, a professional man and resident of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) since 1946, died at St. Joseph’s Hospital at Marshfield Saturday, Jan. 13, 1962.

 

He was admitted earlier in the week suffering from diabetes, an illness he has been treating for the past 15 years.  On Saturday he suffered a cerebral hemorrhage which proved fatal.

 

Funeral services were Tuesday from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral home.  Brother Morehouse, Chicago, officiated at the rites with six nephews, Alfred and Arnold Molle, Leo and Alfred Mandel and Albert Laabs and Walter Alexander, Chicago, serving as pallbearers.

 

Born Jan. 31, 1896 in the Town of Unity, Clark County, the deceased had attained the age of 65 years, 11 months and 13 days.  He was a veteran of World War I.  Upon his return from service hew as united in marriage to Jennie Piekola on Sept. 12, 1917, in the Town of Green Grove.  For several years the couple farmed in the town of Beaver before moving to Chicago.  In 1946 they moved to Owen where he was since practiced as an Osteopath.

 

Among his mourners are his widow, Jennie Brecker; a son, Owen Brecker, Key West, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Henry O. (Rose) Awe, route 1, Owen; and a brother Frank of rural Loyal.
