Friends and relatives of Mrs. Emma Peters Schiefer gathered at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Haavisto, Sunday of last week, paying their respects and extending best wishes to her on the observance of her 95th birthday anniversary.
Born Jan. 15, 1867, at New Holstein, Wis., Mrs. Schiefer is fortunate in enjoying the best of health, being quite active throughout the day about the house doing housework and enjoying reading and television. She has been a resident here for the past 10 years, coming here from Fargo, N.D. her husband passed away about 10 years ago.
Guests celebrating the occasion with her playing cards and other games were Mr. and Mrs. Sig Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. John Gummerson, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Havelin, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Haavisto, Mesdames H.V. Anderson, Leonard Simon, Gust Braun, Matt Bombach, Dagmar Doberstein, Theresa Auberg, Peggy Havelin and Mary Havelin, Owen; Julius Johnson, Owen; and Mrs. Gust Miller, San Jose, Calif.
