Miss Anna Dyer came home from Fond du lac Tuesday.

 

Miss Lucille Henze is sick with the mumps since Monday.

 

Nellie Pierce of Merrillan is visiting Gertrude Davis Monday.

 

Mrs. S.G. Schwarz of Humbird was in town Tuesday.

 

Clifford Winn made a business trip to Vesper, Tuesday.

 

Mrs. Hugh Berg and Mrs. W.S. Davis autoed out and spent Tuesday afternoon with Mrs. Geo. Wilson.

 

Mr. Barber of Green Bay is here visiting his relatives, Dr. Ross and family, since Monday.

 

Kearny Davis, Albert Riedel, Mrs. Mary Marsh and daughter Amy were Neillsville visitors Tuesday.

 

Mrs. Mabel Welsh of Spokeville is assisting Mrs. G.E. Amidon with her housework since Monday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ted Selves and Mrs. Blackman and daughter were in town shopping on Monday.

 

Norman Altman of Marshfield is here visiting at the P.J. Kemmeter home since last week.

 

Mr. and Mrs. H.C. Witte and baby Alexander are visiting between Oconomowoc, Milwaukee and Chicago since last week Thursday.

 

Irene Mahn went home to Neillsville Tuesday accompanied by her aunt Miss Emma Schune.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lockner and two children came up from Black River Falls Tuesday for a several days visit with the David Steele family.

 

Perry and Elva Thayer have had the measles proper since Saturday.

 

Miss Hazel Brooks spent Saturday with friends at Neillsville.

 

Miss Sadie Wagner went to Mankato, Minn., Monday for a few weeks stay and visit.

 

Miss Emma Schlinsog of Chicago is visiting her parents here since Tuesday.

 

Gottlieb Hillert returned Saturday from a several weeks visit in Sheboygan Co.

 

Mrs. Myron Osgood and little daughter went to Humbird Saturday for a several days visit with friends.

 

Ross Paulson transacted business at Marshfield on Monday.

 

Prof. G.D. Vincent made a business trip to Wausau on Friday.

 

Rev. Hasz went to Fall Creek Monday to attend conference, returning Thursday.

 

The mason work on T.E. Amidon’s new drug store building was completed this week.

 

Geo. King is temporarily breaking on the local passenger train since Monday.

 

Mrs. J. Reiff and her three children went to Wausau Monday for a visit with relatives.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Alex Kriewaldt of Marshfield were guests in the Fred Gerber home the first of the week.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Anton Hogenson of Chili spent Sunday here with relatives and friends.

 

Mr. and Mrs. John Hefty and baby were over from Chili and spent Sunday with his parents.

 

The Misses Jessie Morris and Shirley Knorr came home Monday from a week’s visit at Stevens Point.

 

The three children in the W.J. Davis family, and John Kromberger, the hired man, are all sick since the first of the week with the measles.

 

$72.19 is Joe Buss’ June milk check from six cows, one of them but a 2-year-old, a heifer.  Can anyone beat that?

 

Mrs. Ahern of Chicago returned here Saturday to remain indefinitely with her nephew, Mike Klein.

 

Vincent Palmer of Chicago arrived here Saturday for a week’s visit with his father, Andrew Palmer, in southeast Grant.

 

John Ure called on town friends Saturday for the first time in four weeks.  He is about okay again.

 

The new subscribers this week are: Mrs. Frances Burdick, Geo. Wilson, John Kauth, A.B. Schuler, Geo. Trimberger, and Oscar Anding.

 

Mrs. Frances Burdick and daughter Blanche went home to Seymour on Tuesday.

 

Mrs. Hattie Beeckler is visiting relatives at Waldo since early this week.

 

Henry and Louis Arndt of Chicago are visiting at R. Wittcamp’s in Sherwood since Tuesday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Beeckler of Independence, Iowa made a weekend visit here at the E.A. Beeckler home and left for Independence again on Monday.

 

Miss Marie Riedel of Milwaukee, after a four weeks visit at the R. Kurth home left for Milwaukee Monday.  Her cousin Miss Elsie Kurth accompanied here as far as Marshfield.

 

Mrs. Leisk of Milwaukee, after a 6 day visit at the P.J. Kemmeter home, returned to Milwaukee on Monday.  Mrs. Kemmeter accompanied her as far as Marshfield.

 

Sherman Gress of Neillsville is the owner of an automobile since early this week when he came over and purchased a second hand Anderson roadster of Knorr & Rausch.

 

Mrs. Wm. Crosby of Glenbeulah, after a week’s visit here with her daughter Mrs. Otto Henze and son Emery Crosby of Neillsville, went home on Wednesday.

 

Mrs. Matilda Cole came from Denver, Colo., arriving here Wednesday to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sid Davis.

 

Joe Felser returned home from the Dakota harvest field last week.

 

Gladys Wage was a Chili caller on Monday.

 

Mrs. A. J. Knorr and Mrs. H.B. Holmes autoed to Neillsville Monday.

 

Viva Drake made an over Sunday visit with friends at Neillsville.

 

Mrs. Fred Kurth and daughters Bertha and Agnes of Chicago, and Mrs. Henry Kurth and daughter Ruth of Jackson, after a week’s visit between the Geo. Wilding, Robert, Wm. And Richard Kurth, and Fred Hantke families, left for Milwaukee Friday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Phil Griffin of Neillsville were in town Teusday.

 

Miss Amanda Schuelke, after a short visit under the parental roof, returned to Milwaukee on Monday.

 

Milton Jones of Chilton spent Sunday here with his uncle A.J. Knorr.  Mr. Jones is principal of the schools at Wittenberg and left for that place Monday.

 

Miss Clara Hubing went to Milwaukee Monday where she will study the latest millinery work for two weeks.

 

Rev. Reiff expects to be at Caroline, Wis. next Sunday where he is to assist at a Mission Fest.  There will be no services here on that day.

 

The Misses Lolo Snow and Myra Phillips of Chili were weekend guests of Miss Alice Root.

 

Mrs. Phillip Lowery and her 5 children went to Fairchild Saturday to spend some time among relatives.

 

Mrs. Will Shafer went to Whitehall Saturday to spend some time with relatives.

 

L.G. Morris had dental work done at Neillsville Saturday afternoon.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Wilson, Miss Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. W.S. Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Berg, Miss Emma Kimball, Mr. and Mrs. Baer and Helen autoed down and spent Saturday with friends at Neillsville.
