Koslo, Wallace (7 JUL 1910 - 27 JAN 1962)
A former Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) man, Wallace Koslo (known here as Wallace Koslowski), died a week ago Saturday in a Milwaukee Hospital of a heart condition. His remains were returned to Thorp for burial with services being held Wednesday morning of last week at St. Hedwig’s Chapel with Fr. Edward Masalewicz officiating at the Requiem Mass. Burial was made in the parish cemetery.
Born Wallace Koslowski, July 7, 1910, at Polley, Wis., he spent some of his days as a lad at Gilman and Thorp and Owen. He attended high school here, being a fine athlete and later established himself in business here. For several years he operated a restaurant and later a radio and appliance store, and then entered the novelty fied with coin machines and juke boxes.
He and his family left here about 20 years ago and since that time lived for many years in Eau Claire and later at Hales Corners, Wis.
Surviving are his wife, the former Sophie Dobrzynski, whom he married Jan. 17, 1932; two sons, Wallace of Milwaukee and Harold of Hales Corners; a brother, William, Manitowoc; three sisters, Mrs. Irene Molepake, Wis. Rapids; Mrs. Josephine Meach, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Alice Persik, Milwaukee, and his father, John Kozlowski, Wis. Rapids.
