Sollberger, Albert (8 August 1894 - 5 May 1964)
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from the Georgas Funeral Home on East 5th Street for Albert Sollberger, 69, of Neillsville, who died Tuesday afternoon from gunshot wounds reported to be self-inflicted.
The service will be conducted by readers of the First Church of Christ Scientist, of which he was a member. Burial will be made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
A retired employee of the Northern States Power Company, Sollberger had been ill for some time. He had recently returned home from Memorial Hospital.
Members of the immediate family include his wife and a son, Leonard "Mickey", of Neillsville; and a daughter, Mrs. Gavin (Helen) Upton of Black River Falls.

Funeral services were held last week Friday afternoon from the Georgas Funeral Home for Albert Sollberger, 69, of Neillsville, who died May 5, at his home. Mrs. Henry Dahnert, Reader of the First Church of Christ Scientist, officiated at the service. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
Mr. Sollberger was born August 8, 1894, in Monroe, son of the late John and Elizabeth (Dulvi) Sollberger. He had been employed for 39 years by the Northern States Power Co., where he worked as a meter tester. He retired from this work in 1958. He served in the postal service branch of the army during World War I. He was a member of the Masonic lodges of Neillsville and Merrillan, and a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist.
Mr. Sollberger was an avid outdoorsman, loving hunting and fishing. In the last few years he took very much interest in the conservation of trees in this area.
On November 5, 1928, he was married to the former Frances Poertner in Winona, Minn.
Surviving Mr. Sollberger are his wife; a son, Leonard (Mickey), of Neillsville; and a daughter, Mrs. Gavin (Helen) Upton of Black River Falls. Other survivors include two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Frieda Baumel of Eau Claire, and Mrs. Bertha Sherman of Merrillan; three brothers, John and William Sollberger of Rt.2 Neillsville and Ernest of Athens.
Pallbearers were: Charles Barr, John Mattson, Lee Jolivette, Leland Smiley, Clifford Elliott and Hugh McCausland. Honorary pallbearers were: Clark Coulliard, Neil Green, Perry Volk, Robert Cattanach, Victor Dallman and Rudy Leidholdt.
Organ music was played by Mrs. Jess W. Scott.
