Schroeder, Estelle (22 January 1879 - 29 June 1964)

Mrs. Edward Schroeder, 85, of Granton died Friday in Neillsville.  Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton, with the Rev. Lloyd Mauer of the Methodist Church officiating. Burial was made in Windfall Cemetery.

Mrs. Schroeder, the former Estelle Babcock, was born January 22, 1879, in New York State.  She came as a small child to Clark County. She attended Neillsville Schools and was a graduate of its high school. She taught for eight years in the Town of Washburn, at the Shortville School, before her marriage to the late Edward Schroeder in 1902 in Neillsville.  She had been a resident of Granton for the last 54 years.

Mrs. Schroeder is survived by two sons, Charles of Eau Claire, and Marion of Racine; and by a daughter, Mrs. Herbert (Marie) Nielsen of Eau Claire; two grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Grace Wallace of Janesville.

Pallbearers were: Roland Quicker, Ray Hoeft, Dan Garbisch, Ewald Schlinsog, Ed Jahr and Carl Storm.
