Kuhl, Frank Hugo (16 March 1889 - 27 May 1964)
Funeral services for Frank H. Kuhl, 75, of Rt. 2 Neillsville, were conducted Friday afternoon from St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville. The Rev. Norman Lindloff and the Rev. David Witte of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Globe officiated. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Mr. Kuhl died May 27, in Neillsville.
Frank Hugo Kuhl, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Kuhl, was born March 16, 1889, in Clark County. He attended rural schools here and spent most of his lifetime in farming. For a few years, when the family lived in Marshfield, Mr. Kuhl was employed by the Soo Line Railroad and also worked in a manufacturing plant there.
They returned to the Neillsville area in 1929 and for the last 35 years resided on a farm a short distance west of Neillsville. He was married October 14, 1914, in Neillsville to the former Anna Meihak.
He is survived by his wife; four children, Norman of Menomonee Falls, Mrs. Laverne Kopp of Neillsville, Mrs. Edgar (Betty) Spiegel of Neillsville, and Harland of Granton. Other survivors are nine grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Paul (Olga) Hills of Milwaukee; and two brothers, Emil Kuhl of Neillsville and William Kuhl of Port Richey, Fla.
He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and its Men’s Club.
Pallbearers were: Otto and Fred Dux, Emil Wetzel, Frank Bardeleben, Arthur Ackerman and August Nemitz.
"For Me to Live in Jesus" and "The Lord is My Shepherd" were sung by Robert Mitte accompanied by Victor Lehman at the organ.
People from out of town attending the service were: Mr. and Mrs. Norman Kuhl and family of Menomonee Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hills of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Beyer of Mineral Point; Pearl Kuhl of Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Vern Meihak, Mrs. Bertha Larson and Mike Rynski of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Spiegel and Jimmy, Mr. and Mrs. Harland Kuhl and family and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Spiegel all of Granton; Mrs. Augusta Roberts and Mrs. Lizzie Relschke of Oshkosh.
