Sommers, Elda #3 (4 OCT 1888 - 12 MAR 1962)

Funeral services for Mrs. Elda Sommers, age 73, who passed away on March 12, 1962 at Victory Memorial Hospital, Stanley, of complication resulting from a fall earlier in the year, were held on Thursday afternoon, March 15, at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Church of Christ in Colby.  The Rev. Carl Serr officiated at the rites, and burial was made at Colby Memorial Cemetery.  The Lulloff Funeral Home had charge of funeral arrangements.

Pallbearers were Huber Glenzer, Fred Glenzer, Walter Laabs, Charles Carnahan, Oscar Kademan and Walter Hake.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Henry (Vernice) Schuh, Curtiss; Mrs. Walter (Leona) Bruck, Eau Claire; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Winfrey, Concord, Tenn., and Mrs. Linda Nordness, Detroit, Mich.

Relatives and friends attending the services were from Eau Claire, Stanley, Owen, Withee, Abbotsford, Spencer and Colby.
