Methodist Church (Rev. Mauer Leaving - 1964)
The Rev. Lloyd Mauer, pastor of the Methodist churches at Neillsville, Granton and Pleasant Ridge, is expected to be assigned to a congregation in the Ashland area at the meeting now going on in La Crosse.
The Rev. Mr. Mauer is expected to deliver his final sermon in the local churches Sunday. The family is making arrangements to move the following day to Ashland.
A farewell potluck dinner has been scheduled by area Methodists at noon Sunday in Schuster Park.
Mr. Mauer has served the three congregations of the area for the last three years.
