Garbush, Robert (Barn burns - 23 AUG 1913)
Last Saturday afternoon about 3 o’clock the large barn on the Robert Garbush farm, with all its contents, consisting of hay, grain and farm machinery was destroyed by fire. Mr. Garbush was just returning from a neighbor’s when he notice smoke emerging from the north end of the barn and before he had time to summon help the whole interior seemed to be aflame, and but little of the contents could be saved. The house which stands a short distance from the barn was saved only by combined efforts of neighbors and others who came to help. There was $1600 insurance on the barn and contents, but as a large amount of hay and grain were stored in it, the loss is a heavy one for mr. Garbush. The origin of the fire is not know.
