F. Helm transacted business at the county seat on Saturday.

Mrs. Free of Neillsville spent last week with the Chas. and Geo. Brooks families.

Miss Hazel Washburn returned on Saturday after a six week visit at Tomah.

Miss Addie Breseman came over from Marshfield and spent Sunday at home.

Mrs. F.A. Downing of Tomah and Mrs. E.L. McNutt of Tomah were guests of their sister, Mrs. R.T. Washburn the past week.

The Misses Lillie Opelt, Ione Pause and Ruby and Gertrude Martin visited Herman Riedel’s at Nasonville Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. E. Pusheck and family of East Lynn spent Sunday at F. Helm’s.

Mr. and Mrs. Gardner of Cobb, Wis., are here visiting the Max Opelt family of this place and Will Opelt at Lindsey.

Mrs. Nankivel and son Robert of Nasonville visited with the J. Altenburg family on Sunday.

Mrs. R.T. Washburn and Mrs. F.A. Downing attended the birthday party at Mrs. Clark Waterman’s at Chili on Friday.

Wm. West of Marshfield was in this vicinity canvassing late last week.

Ed Ure has purchased 40 acres of land from Alvin Cole, consideration $1600.

John Altenburg and Alvin Grassman transacted business at Chili one day last week.

R.T. Washburn and family, accompanied by Mrs. F.A. Downing and Mrs. E.L. McNutt, autoed to Marshfield and spent Sunday with friends.

Miss Ione Pause returned to Oshkosh after several weeks with friends in this place.

Mrs. Fred Hankey has been very sick and under the doctor’s care the past week.

Mrs. C. Kuechenmeister and Mrs. Schmoll from the Ridge visited friends in this place last week.

M. Opelt, wife and child, Mr. and Mrs. Simpson, Mr. and Mrs. Muir of Lindsey came to see the ballgame Sunday.

Miss Nellie Altenburg and Beatrice Renne of East Lynn visited the former’s aunts Emma and Etta Altenburg last week.

One of the largest crowds ever seen here gathered Sunday to see the ballgame between the Indians and white.  The game ended in favor of the Indians.  $38.60 was collected to pay expenses.

Mr. and Mrs. O. Neitzel and daughters Laura and Elsie, and Mrs. Paul Hempe and children of Milwaukee, and Mrs. R. Jackish and baby of Dubuque visited at Wm. Nitschke’s Thursday of last week.

Mrs. J. Tremelling and Mrs. Frank Davis were visitors at J. Altenburg’s Tuesday.
