College Notes (–2012)
The following area students were among the 2011 winter graduates of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point: Cara M. Hart, cum laude, Bachelor of Arts (BA), Spanish; Jason K. John, Bachelor of Science (BS), forest recreation; and Liana R. Weichelt, BA, Spanish.
The following are students of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, were honored for attaining high grade-point averages during the fall semester of the fall semester of the 2011-2012 academic year:
Neillsville - David R. Barth, Honors (GPA 3.50 to 3.74); Benjamin J. Galetka, Honors: MaryAnne Hinkle, Highest Honors (GPA 3.90 to 4.0); Scott M. Simpson, Honors; Nathan E. Wentz, Highest Honors; Owen - Kristine M. Wojner, High Honors (GPA 3.75 to 3.89);
Mara Schlief-Trampush, Greenwood, was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2011 semester at Marquette University in Milwaukee. She is pursuing a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in social welfare and justice.
Brittani Zoellick, of Owen, was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2011 semester at Rochester Community and Technical College in Rochester, MN.
The following area students were named to the fall semester dean’s list at Northwestern College in St. Paul, MN. The list includes full-time students with a GPA during the semester of 3.65 or higher:
Morgan Huber, the daughter of Phil and Karen Huber of Colby, pursuing a degree in elementary education;
Frank Schmidt of Neillsville, pursing a degree in English;
Benjamin Streckert, the son of Mark and Cindy Streckert of Unity, pursuing a degree in English.
