Greenwood Satellites 4-H Club (2 July 1964)
The Greenwood Satellites 4-H club held their June meeting in the Greenwood High School cafeteria, with Pres. Dennis Pakiz presiding. The flag pledge was led by Marion Speich, and the 4-H pledge by Harlen Nielsen. The club tour is to be held July 5 at the John Gatz farm, starting at 12:30.
Demonstrations from all the members were to be given at the meeting, which was also designated "Parents Night." Those who gave demonstrations were: Gary Bukovec, "How to drill a hole;" Suzanne Gatz, "Seams and their uses;" Robert Kolnhofer, "Finishing a piece of wood;" Robert Kronberger, "Braiding a rope halter:" David Pakiz, "How to make a rope halter:" Patrice Pakiz and Diane Opelt, "Tips to better cooking:" Dennis Pakiz and Harlan Nielsen, "Safe and sane hunting:" Marion Speich, "Breakfasts:" Connie Shultz, "How to make a blouse;" and Bernard Maas and Larry Pakiz, "Trimming a cow’s hooves."
The next meeting will be July 20 at the Nielsen home.
A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Robert Kronberger, and was seconded by Suzanne Gatz.
The "Jolly Musicmakers" played a few numbers during the lunch time - Larry Pakiz, club reporter.
