Posda, Richard (12 October 1943 - 16 January 2012)

Richard P. Posda, age 68, of the Town of Thorp, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2012, at the Oakbrook Health & Rehab Center, Thorp, WI. Richard was born October 12, 1943, in Stanley, the son of the late George & Rose Mary (Kudingo) Posda.  He grew up in the Town of Thorp, attending area schools. Richard then moved to Milwaukee where he worked for a number of years, later returning to the Posda home farm where he farmed until retirement.

He is survived by his siblings: Agnes Skwierczynski of Norridge, Il, Florian Posda of Stanley, and James Posda of Cudahy; plus many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Frank, Leonard & Walter Posda; and three sisters: Ethel Zurakowski, Louise Skwierczynski, and Theresa Grendzinski.

Services will be held on Friday, January 20, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, Stanley, with Fr. William Felix officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.  Friends and family may call from 5 - 8 p.m. on Thursday evening at the Plombon Funeral Home, Stanley.
