Bundesen, Johanna (9 APR 1885 - 10 MAY 1962)
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home for Mrs. Johanna Bundesen, 77, who died Thursday. The Rev. Beryl Knudsen officiated and burial was made in Riverside Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Sam Anderson, Andrew Olson, Jack Fritz, Clark Nissen, Elmer Dearth and Paul Bladl.
Mrs. Beryl Knudsen, accompanied by Mrs. Bonnie Hansen, sang "Fairest, Lord Jesus."
Mrs. Bundesen, a resident of this community for many years, died at 3:00 a.m. Thursday of a stroke at the home of a brother, Adolph Iverson, in Milwaukee.
Mrs. Jess Bundesen, nee Johanna Iversen, was born April 9, 1875 (based on age and cemetery listing, birth years should be 1885), in Denmark and was married to the late Jess Bundesen in that county in 1911. A year later the couple came to the Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) area where they lived on several farms until buying a home just one-half mile north of Owen. Mrs. Bundesen lived there until four years ago when she sold the farm and moved to Milwaukee to make her home with her brother.
Her husband passed away seven years ago.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Edward Moore, a son, Jesse Bundesen, both of Milwaukee; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Adolph Iversen, Milwaukee, and several brothers in Denmark.
