Unger, Janet (Prom Queen - 12 May 1962)
Jan Unger, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and bob Loewe, Hilbert, reigned as king and queen of the 1962 Junior Prom at Eau Claire State College Saturday night, May 12.
Miss Unger is a junior in secondary education with an English major and French minor. She is a member of Delta Zeta social sorority, French Club, and Sigma Tau Delta English fraternity, and was co-editor of the Periscope, college yearbook, the last two years.
Loewe is a junior majoring in business education and minoring in physical education. He is a varsity basketball and baseball letter winner, and is a member of Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity, Letter Club, and is vice president of his class.
Members of the junior class also elected six attendants. They were: Mike Biechler, Marshfield, and Sue Munemitsu, Los Angeles, John Lundquist, Rice Lake, and Nancy Anderson, Eau Claire, and Tom Barry, Arcadia and Dorothy Sorlie, Eau Claire.
The 1962 king and queen were crowned by last year’s royalty, Dick Loofboro, New Auburn, and Shelby Dahl, Wheeler.
